Aprelium Technologies has announced the release of a new version of Abyss Web Server. Abyss Web Server version 2.5 adds support for secure SSL connections (HTTPS). It also features an integrated interface to manage, create, self-sign, and generate CSR (certificate signing requests). The new releases add the following features:

- Integrated interface to manage, import, self-sign, and request the signature of SSL certificates.

The new releases also include several internal enhancements and fix the problems that have been reported with previous versions.

Most popular model, with 20-GB hard drive reduced to $349
Starting Wednesday, Microsoft will cut Xbox 360’s price by 50 bucks. The company said its most popular console, which comes with a 20-gigabyte hard drive, will cost $349.
The basic console without a hard drive or wireless controllers will sell for $279, which is $20 less than its current price, and the Xbox 360 Elite, the black version with a massive 120-gigabyte hard drive and high-definition video support, will drop to $449.
In July, the Microsoft dropped the price of its HD-DVD player add-on from $199 to $179.
Microsoft has been dodging questions about a console price cut since competitor Sony slashed the price of its 60-gigabyte PlayStation 3 from $599 to $499 in early July. Nintendo Wii, the least expensive of the supposed next-generation consoles, costs only $250. Continue Reading »

One thing the Xbox 360 is missing that the other two next-gen consoles have going great for them is motion-sensing controllers. The Wii is based around it, and the PlayStation 3 has it sort of thrown in as an afterthought, but it’s there.
Who doesn’t want to play their favorite games by flailing their arms around like an idiot?
Well, it’s great to know that Team X-Tender has developed a tilt sensor that comes with an entire replacement for the back shell of your controller.
